The Clinical Hypnotherapy Register (CHR) is a voluntary register for hypnotherapists who wish to demonstrate competency and adhere to a professional Code of Ethics.
The key purpose of CHR is to act in the public interest and enable proper public accountability of the complementary therapists that it registers.
Clinical Hypnotherapy Register (CHR) acts in the public interest by:
- keeping a register of practitioners who meet national standards of practice in their work.
- setting the standards that practitioners need to meet to get onto and then stay on the register.
- requiring CHR registered practitioners to keep to our strict Code of Conduct
- the public can find a local complementary therapist by using the online search facility.
Clinical Hypnotherapy Register (CHR) Values:
Clinical Hypnotherapy Register (CHR) is committed to demonstrate value in our work and the industry we represent, we value the importance of recognition and professional training standards.
Clinical Hypnotherapy Register (CHR) Regulation:
As it stands hypnotherapists are not currently regulated in many countries, meaning that there are no laws in position which outline the level of training and experience required in order to practice.
The Clinical Hypnotherapy Register (CHR) verification process however, ensures that we only list hypnotherapists who have provided proof of a relevant qualification and insurance cover, or proof of membership with an industry professional body.
